Samantha Eagar
"Singing has always been a big part of my life. I was quite shy growing up and remained that way into my highschool years. It was weird, it was as if I became a different person on stage. Music was my outlet to truly express myself and it has made me the person I am today.
"I believe music is like this for many of us. It allows us to convey emotions and messages that go beyond words. There’s a sense of high you feel when you really allow yourself to be taken over by the music. It is so freeing to express yourself through music, musician or not. I encourage people to not be afraid to be themselves and connect with others through this incredible art we call music."
Samantha's Story
"I began my vocal studies with soul/rock powerhouse Alice Ericksen in 2014 while a part of the after school of rock program 'The Academy.' My love for 70s-80s rock really blossomed here with artists such as Ann Wilson from Heart, Stevie Nicks from Fleetwood Mac, and Janis Joplin. I later went on to study voice classically with renowned opera singer Emily Workman as I pursued my BM in Vocal Performance. Having such diverse training has shaped my ability to perform a variety of styles and genres. The freeing feeling singing has brought to my life has been my motivation to pursue a career in music. If I don’t answer my phone it’s probably because I’m jamming to Fleetwood Mac on my rollerskates or having my own rock concert in my bedroom."
