"Once in an art class I had in 8th grade. The art teacher there had a quote on her wall that said 'Draw what you see, not what you think you see.' That has always stuck with me throughout my hobby of art.
What’s come to be a goal of mine with art is to portray a message of hope and comfort. I’ve done a handful of Christian artwork and continue to find new inspiration on messages I can share with others through art. I’ve also come to love figure paintings as well and strive to master that one day."
James' Story
"Hello! I’ve always enjoyed doing drawings, but it wasn’t until the summer of 2020 that I really got into it. It’s something that really became a passion for me to do and is a stress reliever. I had an art class my junior and senior years of high school and that’s where my interest in oil paints really kicked in. I do it because I enjoy doing it. Doing art the way I’ve come to enjoy doing it, gives me inspiration for other aspects of my life. I’m a student at Southern Utah University and have a major in Aviation, but love doing art. You might find me vibing to the songs I listen to as I paint or draw."
